My rate is $35.00 per hour for maintenance, and $45.00 an hour for design installation.

Maintenance includes weeding, trimming, minor pruning. Fertilizing and mulching existing plants. Removal and replacement of unwanted or dead plants. Hedging or mowing. Drive and shopping time, to pick up all plants and products to be used at the site. The client will cover the cost of plants and materials.

Maintenance rate applies to monthly or bi-monthly clients. When possible I prefer to determine a base rate for service, so I have a monthly budget to work with. This enables me to plan for extras, like new plants and fertilizers.

If an assistant(s) are working with me their hours will be billed at $25.00 per hour.

Design-installation includes all aspects of creating a preliminary plan for a garden site. This includes meetings, in person or by phone or e-mail, in which we are discussing the design plan. Site measurements and mapping. Design and drafting time. Plant and materials research and acquisition. Prepping the site. Installing plants, amendment and mulch.

Most hardscaping (paths and decks) and irrigation, as well as lighting, should be installed by a licensed contractor, and would be billed by that person.

Communication is very important to me. I want your garden to please you, and will work hard to make your space a place of beauty and enjoyment.
