About Me

I am certified in Permaculture Design, and have an extensive Arts background. I always encourage people to appreciate the exceptional climate in the Bay Area. There is an amazing variety of Native California flora to choose from. We can grow food and herbs, medicinal and culinary, year round.

I consider the microclimate in order to select plants that will thrive, and I am also conscious to avoid invasive non-native species.

I encourage all my clients to compost kitchen scraps at home whenever possible, and I am happy to set up a compost bin, and give you instructions on doing this.

I believe there is a special connection and nourishment in what we grow close to where we live. When we see and smell the plants, and the soils that grow them, it completes the circle of food, and life.

We also have connections with several food distribution organizations, so if you produce more than you can eat, and share with your friends, you can help to bring organic produce to local families.
